Located in Melbourne, Chadstone Shopping Centre ("Chaddy") is the largest mall in Australia (130,000 m²).

Featuring four major department stores, supermarket, entertainment venues and 530 stores (with luxury fashion district), it is one of Australia's top performing malls and considered the country's premier fashion shopping destination.

To minimize competitive influences and for 'future-proofing' of the Project, Chaddy is undergoing a major expansion plan which includes:

  • New leisure and entertainment precinct;
  • State-of-the-art digital cinema complex;
  • New dining precinct;
  • Additional office space;
  • Hotel accommodations;
  • Additional parking; and
  • Enhanced public transit access.

Thomas Consultants have been working with the Chadstone owners (Gandel Group) over the past 10 years advising the management team on the following:

  • Project role and function;
  • 'Gap' analysis;
  • Retail market positioning;
  • Supportable retail floorspace demand; and
  • Initial retail program and tenant mix.
